ReefseekerBot is the small helper behind Reefseeker, a free Australian fishing, diving and sightseeing app. Once or twice a day it checks publicly available fishing report pages and feeds to learn facts only: which species are biting, roughly where, and when.
It never stores or republishes a site's text, photos or logos. Reefseeker writes its own one-line summary from the facts and links back to the original report so anglers can read it at the source.
It identifies itself as ReefseekerBot, fetches a handful of pages per day per site, and follows each site's robots.txt. To stop it visiting your site, disallow ReefseekerBot in your robots.txt and it will stop within a week.
